Sustainability
Passionate about our planets future
Living in the Caribbean, we see the negative impact of waste washing up on our shores and killing our precious eco systems first hand. We want our kids to continue to love playing on the beach and in the ocean for generations to come.
KENAÏ Swimwear is double lined with Carvico Vita, a fabric made in Italy from two yarns, 20% spandex and 80% recycled Econyl. These yarns are woven together to create a high quality fabric with sun cream, chlorine and piling resistance, UV protection, two-way stretch and an ultra flat soft surface.
The recycled nylon used is Econyl, an alternative to nylon made from plastic waste products. Normally, nylon has a significantly detrimental environmental impact, but the Econyl process reduces the global warming impact on nylon by up to 90% when compared to traditional nylon, and makes it infinitely recyclable.
Our versatile swimwear, crafted from eco-conscious recycled plastic materials, offers durability and a luxurious feel that lasts far beyond traditional fabrics. We aren’t fast fashion, we want you to love your KENAÏ pieces for a very long time.
KENAÏ Swimwear has partnered with an Antigua & Barbuda based not-for-profit; The Elkhorn Marine Conservancy. EMC is an amazing organization that focuses on marine restoration and conservation here in Antigua. $5 from every KENAÏ Swimsuit sold will be donated to EMC.
